2022 Fall Test Strategy Prep Still Open!
Hello Parents and Students!
Now that the school year has started, do you know how your child is doing?
According to the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP), a statewide assessment, 81% of 3rd-5th graders in Maryland tested NOT proficient in Math and 76% tested NOT proficient in ELA; and 94% of 7th-8th graders in Maryland tested NOT proficient in Math?
These are staggering numbers and these problems need to be addressed NOW.
With our flagship Test Strategy Preparation Programs, your child will be able to:
- Alleviate test anxiety and increase focus and testing “endurance” by taking multiple full-length practice tests throughout the duration of the course;
- Lay a firm foundation in key Algebra and Geometry concepts that will allow the student to better understand advanced mathematics, including Trigonometry and beyond;
- Create good study skills and habits that will set him/her up for success in every field;
- Increase his/her understanding of test-taking strategies and techniques which will result in high scores on tests as well as build overall confidence in Math and English;
- Prepare for the rigor of advanced Math and English classes.
The good news is there is still time to register! We have already seen long-term consequences caused by learning loss. This year, our aim is to close the significant learning loss and gap caused by the pandemic. APLUS is committed to help your student succeed and fulfill all of his/her academic needs. Our exceptional faculty is ready to provide the support your student needs.
Our comprehensive programs run for 17 sessions with 4-5 practice tests throughout the course. The Fall 2022 Schedule is as follows:
- Elementary (Grades 3-4): 10/1/22 – 1/28/23
Saturdays (in-person) from 9:30 AM -11:30 AM
- Intermediate (Grades 5-6): 10/1/22 – 1/28/23
Saturdays (in-person) from 9:30 AM -12:30 PM
- Advanced (Grades 7-9): 9/17/22 – 12/18/22
Saturdays (in-person) from 9:30 AM -12:30 PM
Sundays (virtual) from 1:30-4:30 PM

About Us
Since 1998, Aplus learning Center, located in Rockville, Maryland, USA, has been providing quality educational programs for 3rd to 12th grade students to enhance their academics. What makes us different from other learning centers is a group of certified professional teachers whose extensive experience and commitment has helped students excel.
Our Programs
APLUS offers a wide spectrum of enrichment programs, including Math workshops, Writing workshops, Math Olympiad, etc. Most enrichment courses run 16 weeks in Fall and Spring semesters, respectively.
Enrichment
APLUS was founded in 1998 to provide a first-rate supplemental education to students with high aspirations. The APLUS program is best known for its (1) highly qualified teachers, (2) small class size, and (3) advanced curricula. Courses are offered year-round and include elementary mathematics, pre-algebra, geometry, algebra 1, algebra 2, pre-calculus, critical reading and writing, grammar, and writing workshops.
Academic Summer Camp
APLUS was founded in 1998 to provide a first-rate supplemental education to students with high aspirations. The APLUS program is best known for its (1) highly qualified teachers, (2) small class size, and (3) advanced curricula. Courses are offered year-round and include elementary mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, Pre-calculus, Critical Reading and Writing, Grammar, Writing Workshops, SAT and PSAT prep, private school entrance prep (ISEE or SSAT), and magnet school and private school prep.
Test Prep (3rd/5th/8th Grade/SAT/ACT)
Our Test Prep classes are designed to help students hone their test-taking skills and strategies and prepare themselves for the different testing situations that they may encounter throughout their academic career. Classes include mock tests, test reviews, and opportunities to practice various types of test questions. Through targeted practice, students are able to build their confidence and achieve optimal test results.
Tutoring
We understand that every student has unique academic needs, and these cannot be addressed with a “one-size-fits- all” model of instruction. At APLUS Tutoring, your child will receive individual attention from one of our many knowledgeable, experienced, and professional tutors. Sessions are tailored to your child’s specific needs, where academic growth and intrinsic motivation are fostered.
