中国采集队在珠峰6200米地带采到植物种子

中国科学院昆明植物研究所的中国西南野生生物种质资源库（简称种质库）种子采集队，据报在珠峰6200米左右成功采集到须弥扇叶芥等植物的种子，刷新了中国植物种子采集的最高海拔纪录。
珠峰海拔8848.86米，作为世界之巅，珠峰高海拔裸露的流石滩因极寒、缺氧等被视为生命禁区，但仍然存有适应极端环境的生命。从今年8月开始，种质库启动了世界海拔最高植物种子采集行动计划。
据中新社报道，种质库主任李德铢研究员介绍，目前全球已知报道过的在海拔6100米以上采集的植物有15种，均为国外学者采集。其中海拔最高的种子植物标本记录是1935年由英国登山家在中国境内珠峰北坡6400米采集到的两种植物：鼠麴雪兔子、珠峰鳞蕊芥。采集成熟植物种子比采集植物标本更加困难。
经过三年的酝酿准备，种质库采集队分别于2021年8月和9月两次前往珠峰，先后历时20余天，最高抵达海拔6605米开展植物多样性调查采集。其中，8月15日到28日完成了第一次珠峰植物科考，在海拔5738米成功采集到珠峰齿缘草的种子。
然而，8月还不是珠峰植物种子采集的最佳时期。9月24日，种质库采集队再次从海拔5200米的珠峰大本营向上攀登，采集到迄今中国乃至全世界海拔最高纪录的植物种子。
据报道，此次采集到的种子，经干燥、清理、计数等流程后，将长期保存于中国西南野生生物种质资源库等。
种质库保藏中心主任蔡杰说：“种质库之前保存的最高海拔种子采自西藏阿里地区5559米的高山荒漠灌丛，本次任务是对高海拔植物种质资源采集的一次新探索和尝试，对保护生物多样性、应对气候变化和加强生物安全建设具有重要意义。”
中国西南野生生物种质资源库是依托中国科学院昆明植物研究所建设的国家重大科技基础设施，截至2020年底已保存野生植物种子10601种、85046份。
Chinese scientists complete seed collection mission on Mt. Qomolangma

Chinese scientists have recently completed a seed-collection mission on Mount Qomolangma, according to the Germplasm Bank of Wild Species, a comprehensive national database for the collection and preservation of wildlife germplasm resources in China.
The team successfully collected seeds of several plants such as crucihimalaya himalaica and saussurea gnaphalodes at a height of approximately 6,200 meters, setting a new record for plant seed collection at the highest altitude in China.
The seeds will be preserved permanently after cleaning and counting. “The mission is a new exploration and an attempt to collect high-altitude plant germplasm resources, which is of great significance for protecting biodiversity, coping with climate change and strengthening bio-safety construction,” said Cai Jie with the Germplasm Bank of Wild Species.
The collection team went to Mount Qomolangma twice in August and September this year, and spent more than 20 days successively, reaching the highest altitude of 6,605 meters to conduct plant diversity survey and collection.
