A New Session of Math Essentials Starts the Week of March 8

With only three months left in the school year, are you satisfied with your child’s progress in math so far?

Although plans are underway for students to return to their public school classrooms, learning is still a challenge since teachers must instruct in-person, socially distanced students simultaneously with online students. Fairfax Collegiate’s Math Essentials classes are a perfect way to ensure your child has a stable and reliable place to continue learning math, and can get the help and attention they need.

Each class meeting includes lessons, individual practice, one-on-one coaching, enrichment, and math games. Curriculum is always aligned to Virginia’s math standards, so you can be confident that the correct topics are being taught. All students receive an individual, written progress report that demonstrates their growth.

Over 1,000 students completed Fairfax Collegiate online math courses this past spring and summer. Our 6-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio allows students to receive individualized attention and instruction after completing a diagnostic assessment. Our instructors are experienced educators dedicated to helping students with their specific needs in math.

Available Class Sections:

Start by choosing the class that matches the math class your child is taking in school. Before the course begins, we will send you a diagnostic test and use the results to place your child into a small cohort (up to 6 students) that focuses on the exact level of math they need. These cohorts often stay together session after session to continue building on their progress and confidence.

Math Essentials 3-4
for students taking 3rd or 4th grade math in school
Wed & Fri — Mar 10 to Apr 9 (eight total class meetings) — 4:00pm to 5:30pm — Register Now

for students taking 5th or 6th grade math in school
Tue & Thu — Mar 9 to Apr 8 (eight total class meetings) — 4:00pm to 5:30pm — Register Now

Math Essentials 7-8
for students taking 7th or 8th grade math in school
Monday — Mar 8 to Apr 12 (five total class meetings) — 4:00pm to 6:00pm — Register Now

Fairfax Collegiate Write | Discuss | Revise is a program of premium online writing courses. Each Write | Discuss | Revise course provides challenging content, direct instruction in writing, weekly reading and writing assignments, and individual writing conferences with the teacher. Write | Discuss | Revise is for students who seek to go beyond what they are learning at school and take their reading and writing to the next level.
