Manager – Business Development

A 20+ year old small firm established in specialty packaging business is seeking the right person to help expand into a broader market. We focus on providing superior services and products to our wholesale customers by managing the entire supply chain effectively and efficiently. Import and export is one of our main strengths.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities to achieve long term growth goals

* Contact potential clients through trade shows, networking, social media, cold calls and emails

* Present our company and products to potential clients

* Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services for existing and potential customers

* Customize product solutions and resolve issues promptly to increase customer satisfaction

* Build long-term trusting relationships with clients

* Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market according to company objectives

* Keep records of existing and potential customers with detailed issues and solutions updated timely

* Report to the company project progress monthly and sales results quarterly

* Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans

* Stay current with the market trend and monitor the market competitiveness

* Keep meaningful dialogues with the existing customers

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Entrepreneurial, ambitious and goal oriented;

2. Experiences of sales/marketing or business development;

3. Experiences of e-commerce and social media platforms;

4. Superb communication and negotiation skills with pleasant personality;

5. MS Excel skills of professional level with CRM and accounting software familiarity a big plus;

6. Flexible hours and work from home with occasional travels required;

7. Native/superb English with Spanish or Mandarin Chinese a plus;

8. Live in or close to Metro DC area.

9. Business related degrees preferred but not required.

COMPENSATIONS & BENEFITS:

A. Base pay with commissions, bonuses and equity;

B. Benefits depend on personal circumstances.
