前言

第一： 掌握好语法

第二：建立丰富的词汇量
从阅读和写作到听力和口语，强大的词汇量对所有交流领域的成功都至关重要。
研究表明，拥有丰富的词汇和在学业上取得成功之间有着密切的联系。
在写作方面，强大的词汇量使学生能够选择更多的描述性词汇向读者阐明自己的想法，并使用适当的词汇把文章写的更书面化。 建立词汇量有几种方法，最简单也最有趣的方式就是阅读！
新词汇可以从任何地方习得：从多种文学体裁，( 比如：小说、幻想、传记、科幻等）和不同媒体，(比如报纸、杂志、博客)。
一些推荐包括《时代》杂志、哈利波特系列以及莎士比亚的优秀作品。
另一种有趣的方式是玩拼字游戏和填字游戏。
学生应该抄写新词并查找定义。
它们可以携带方便的卡片，作为一种在旅途中学习词汇的便捷方式。
最重要的是，学生们应该通过平时的对话和写作使用这些新的词汇来学会应用。
即使他们用错了一个词，通过反复试验，他们也会琢磨对每个词的理解。
毕竟，我们的目的并不是使用每一个你所知道的花哨词汇，而是培养你对所写句子中哪些单词正确的良好判断。 我们的英语课不但通过教授“词汇研究”来加强对词汇的掌握，而且同时教授学生关于词根、前缀和后缀的知识，以帮助他们在将来推断不熟悉单词的含义。
第三：阅读以发现不同的风格和声音
阅读是学生学习语言最好的方式。通过阅读， 学生们掌握了作家们的写作技巧，学生们可以了解更微妙、更复杂的主题，如用法、语气和文字游戏。
在我们的阅读课程上，VSA老师通过阅读和讨论一系列现实小说和虚拟小说作品来提高学生的阅读理解能力。
我们教学生如何筛选主题，分析人物塑造、情节和场景，以便学生知道如何在自己的写作中利用这些特点。
第四：逐步掌握写作过程
伟大的作品不是从一个作家的头脑中蹦出来的。相反，它需要时间和反复修改。头脑风暴、起草、修改、编辑和出版都是写作过程的一部分。
我们与学生一起讨论，确保他们有足够的信心将想法写下来，并修改多次草稿，直到他们对最终产品的措辞和结构感到满意。 课后，学生通过一个在线互动平台得到他们写的每一篇文章的反馈，教师可以实时查看和评论学生的写作。
该平台还为学生提供构思提纲表，以便学生在撰写有说服力或信息丰富的文章时，有效地组织自己的想法并规划自己的论点。 我们想强调的是，做一个好作家意味着做一个同样好的编辑。
我们教学生如何审视和修改他们的文章，以确保句子流畅、思路清晰，以及拼写错误和语法错误。

第五： 天天写 持续写
写作不仅仅是为了学校布置的功课。鉴于我们在生活的许多方面都需要使用写作，学生们有很多练习的机会。
学生可以给老师写感谢信，给朋友和亲戚写信，甚至给朋友同学发电子邮件。最好的练习方法之一是写日记，这也为发泄内心情绪和自我反省提供了一个很好的渠道。
第六：采取成长型心态发展孩子的自驱力
成长型心态是指学生可以通过勤奋和努力工作来发展他们的能力。
这与固定型心态相反，在这种心态下，学生们认为自己的能力是无法改变的。
成为一名更好的作家不可能一蹴而就，但学生们不应该让失败告诉他们这是永远不可能实现的。相反，他们应该将失败视为一个成长的机会，并理解他们的努力和态度决定了他们的能力。
为了培养成长心态，学生应该：
- 重视过程而非最终结果
- 将努力置于天才之上
- 承认并接受不完美
- 将反馈描述为帮助他们成长的一种方式
- 在同行的陪伴下接受挑战 这些步骤与起草和修改一样，也是写作过程的一部分。
父母也要记得鼓励和支持你的孩子成为一名更好的作家，而不要变得不耐烦，因为这是给孩子信心和决心的最好方式。
