CROWN CONSULTING, INC. seeks a Business Analyst to support our FAA customer’s Material Management and Procurement Group. The successful candidate will provide data analysis and reporting to identify trends and provide forecasting of vital resources that enable the FAA Air Traffic Organization to perform their mission. Analysis spans all aspects of supply chain management including equipment and property management/inventory; telecommunications; space management; contracts; and travel.
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
This position has the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in any field that included or was supplemented by; at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management
- Eight years of relevant experience
Desired Skills
Based on the nature of the work and the native tool sets that are used, the following are desired skills:
- Ability to use (or learn) SharePoint to perform content management
- Experience using Excel to create data charts for senior management
- Experience running Tableau reports
- Experience performing data management and auditing databases
- Demonstrated analytical skills to identify trends in data and provide forecasting
- Ability to use PowerPoint to develop presentations
- Ability to write procedures and communication plans

JOB OPENING: Software Architect
Location: Washington, DC
Job Description
CROWN CONSULTING, INC. seeks an experienced SW architect to plan, design, and implement a cloud based (Amazon Web Services) high-fidelity simulation of the United States Air Traffic system. The simulation will use flight dynamic models, weather models, and historical data to depict realistic scenarios of air traffic situations for the purpose of training FAA air traffic flow control specialists in the techniques used to effectively regulate air traffic in the National Air Space.
While much of the code base already exists, some key elements such as the orchestration engine and user interfaces will need to be developed. Existing code will need to be migrated to the cloud, data structures defined and implemented, and adapters developed to interface the existing applications to the new cloud-based infrastructure.
When completed, this new application will allow FAA trainees to investigate “What if…” scenarios and provide a much-needed training capability for our FAA customer. The successful applicant will work with an existing team of subject matter experts and software developers and provide SW development and cloud hosting expertise to help ensure the success of this important project.
Qualifications

JOB OPENING: Full Stack Developer
Location: Arlington, VA
Job Description
CROWN CONSULTING, INC. is seeking a Full-Stack Developer with extensive Java-script skills and knowledge of modern frameworks such as Kendo UI or Django. The selected candidate will be a member of a small team of creative and energized developers who are engaged in development, test, and support of a GIS based application. Knowledge of GIS and supporting databases is a plus.
Much of this work can be performed off-site as the team promotes a flexible work environment, which does include periodic meeting and group working sessions in our downtown Rosslyn facility if you live in the DC metropolitan area. If you do not live in the DC area, you will not be required to travel. Rosslyn, conveniently located across the river from Washington DC, presents a dynamic urban environment teaming with diverse professionals.
