THinK’s 2021 Creative Writing Workshop

Do you want your child to become a better writer? Your child can reach a new level of writing at our English Creative Writing Workshop starting August 7, 2021 (five Saturday evening lessons in 5 weeks).

There are only a few slots left, so register immediately for one-of-a-kind writing experience.

Since its inception in 2007, our Creative Writing Workshop has helped hundreds of elementary and middle school students improve their writing skills. In this workshop, students will study eight basic writing techniques and learn how to begin, expand and end a story.

Reading and writing assignments are arranged after each class, and the final writing assignment is to write an essay about this year’s PTA Reflections theme: I Will Change the World By…

Each student’s composition will be carefully revised and commented on by our instructors. Students will not only improve their reading and writing skills through this Creative Writing Workshop, but will also be able to submit their essays to participate in the 2021-2022 PTA Reflections competition.

Our 2020 Creative Writing Workshop student Olivia won the 2020 PTA Reflections Outstanding Interpretation Award in Montgomery County, Maryland. We hope there will be more good news in 2021.

The instructors of the writing workshop are talented high school students from Thomas Jefferson High School of Science and Technology. Over the years, they have donated all tuition received to the Aixin Foundation’s Rural Education Program, helping many children in poverty-stricken areas of China complete their studies.
