Fall 2020 Online Clarinet Technique Group Classes

Elizabeth Bley’s Clarinet Studio, LLC is Pleased to Offer Fall 2020 Online Clarinet Technique Group Classes:

**Taught by Vandoren Artist-Clinician and Vienna Band Camp Clarinet Technique Instructor Betty Bley**

For Bb Clarinet students and Bass Clarinet students with a minimum of one year of school band experience or one year of private lessons, ages fifth grade through high school.

Mondays from October 19 through December 14, 2020

Each student will be offered 9 weekly one-hour online classes, with a maximum of 15 students per class and a minimum enrollment of 5 students per class.

Classes will be held on Mondays from October 19 through December 14, 2020.

^{^{Level 1 classes will be from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm;}}

^{^{Level 2 classes will be from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm;}}

^{^{Level 3 classes will be from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.}}

Class assignments will be based on skill level.

Tuition is a total of $195.00 per student, which includes printed class materials.

Students must have their own working clarinet, a good supply of working reeds, and access to a computer or laptop with an internet connection and email.

There are no refunds or discounts for classes missed by students.

I am 100% dedicated to the success of every one of my students. I provide detailed and specific feedback in a positive and supportive way that promotes mutual respect between me and my students.
My students are routinely selected as first chair players in their upper level school bands, All-District Bands, Senior Regional Orchestras, Youth Orchestras, Youth Wind Programs, and All-State Bands and Orchestras. My students are consistently selected as clarinetists and bass clarinetists in the NAfME All-National Honor Band, as well as the Music For All Honor Band of America. In 2019, my students were selected as Principal Clarinetists in both the Virginia All-State Orchestra and the Virginia All-State Band. In 2020, two of my students were selected for the Virginia All-State Orchestra, including the Principal Clarinet.
When you join my studio, you receive access to my personal music library that includes a vast collection of solos, duets, ensembles, etudes, orchestral excerpts, scale studies, altissimo studies, technique studies, recordings, and technology.
I am the Principal Clarinetist in the Loudoun Symphony, and I perform regularly with the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra of Greater Washington, Washington Sinfonietta, OneWorld Symphonic Festival Camerata, and the Virginia Grand Military Band.
I frequently demonstrate correct performance techniques during lessons, so students can hear excellent tone quality and develop their own concept of good clarinet sound.
I am a Vandoren Artist-Clinician, so my students benefit greatly by having access to a wide range of high quality yet affordable mouthpieces, reeds, ligatures, accessories and instruments that help them achieve their best possible sound.

My students range in age from brand new beginners (suggested minimum age 9 or 10) to advanced high school, college and adult students. Home-schooled students and adult beginners are welcome (no prior musical experience is required).

Weekly lessons are either 45 minutes or 60 minutes in duration. Typical lessons consist of warmups, scale studies, technique studies, etudes, duets, and solo repertoire. Lessons are tailored to meet each individual student’s needs and assist them in reaching theirperformance goals.
